Diagnostic Herbal Industry Ghana has officially launched its herbal wellness product, Thorntina-74, into the Nigerian market, after its wide acceptance across Ghana, South Africa, Sierra Leone and the United States.
The launch event which took place on Thursday, was attended by members of the media, health stakeholders and business partners. It marked the company’s formal entry into Nigeria with a product backed by strong international usage and regulatory approval.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Henry L. Seymour, representing Diagnostic Herbal Industry Ghana, said Thorntina-74 has been relied upon by thousands of users globally for general well-being, immune support and daily vitality.
He noted that the company was particularly proud of the product’s compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards, emphasising that Thorntina-74 has received full approval from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
“This approval reinforces our commitment to safety, quality and consumer protection. Nigerians can be assured that this is a product they can trust,” Seymour said.
According to him, the company has adopted a controlled and responsible distribution strategy for the Nigerian market. Thorntina-74, he explained, will not be sold openly in markets but will be distributed strictly through accredited agents and selected pharmacy outlets nationwide.
He said the model was designed to protect consumers, prevent counterfeiting, ensure product authenticity and maintain fair pricing across the market.
As part of the rollout, the company invited pharmacy chains, independent pharmacies and wellness stores to partner as official retail outlets for the product. It also announced the opening of applications for accredited sales agents across Nigeria.
“Our agent programme is tiered and performance-driven, designed to reward commitment and professionalism. This is an opportunity for distributors and entrepreneurs to grow with a credible and compliant brand,” he added.
A technical presentation was delivered by Dr. Benjamin Adzekey, Technical Director, who outlined the formulation, ingredients and quality standards of Thorntina-74. He stated that the product is manufactured under internationally accepted standards and formulated using natural ingredients aimed at supporting immunity and overall wellness.
Dr. Adzekey also emphasized that Thorntina-74 contains no harmful preservatives and has undergone extensive laboratory analysis to ensure safety and consistency.
The company said its Nigerian rollout would include defined territory allocation for agents and close engagement with the media to promote accurate information about the product.
